A private rustic cabin, immersed by nature and birdlife, boasting incredible views in the heart of KZN.
Thula iNyoni has been thoughtfully shaped with birds at the heart of its design. Every aspect of the cabin has been carefully considered to allow birds to move naturally and undisturbed through the space, creating a truly intimate birding experience.
The private bird hide is purposefully designed for birdwatching and bird photography, featuring comfortable seating and camouflage curtains to conceal human presence, allowing photographers to capture the natural behavior of secretive forest species up close and personal, as they visit the cabin’s birdbath. Over 20 different forest species having been recorded to visit the birdbath in as many minutes invites a relaxed birdwatching experience. In addition to the cabin’s bird hide are various forest trails, farm dams and grasslands which offer a variety of habitats to explore.
Thula iNyoni offers more than exclusitivitely and exceptional birding. Each stay contributes to a broader conservation intitaiative focused on restoring and protecting the forest through the planting of indigenous trees, the clearing of invasive species and support for development within local rural communities.
