Whale Huys Luxury Eco Villa

About the Accommodation

Whale Huys Luxury Eco Villa is a beautiful self-catering accommodation with unobstructed ocean views over Walker Bay, stretching from the quiet fisherman’s village of Gansbaai to Hermanus and beyond. Fall asleep and wake to the sound of the waves gently lapping at the rocks below, while a myriad of bird species enjoy the bounty of the surrounding natural fynbos plant life.

Only 2 hours drive from Cape Town International Airport, the property offers two units, both with sustainable features to have as light a touch on the environment as possible. Solar panels supply most of the electricity, while slow combustion fireplaces wards off the cold on those chilly winter evenings. Well-behaved pets are welcome as both have fenced gardens.

Whale Huys Eco Villa offers four well-appointed bedrooms (all ensuite), gourmet kitchen, saltwater infinity pool, outdoor braai lounge, ecowood deck, poolside bar and private gym.

Guppy Huys Eco-Bungalow is a quaint three bedroom (two double, one twin split) unit with two bathrooms (one ensuite). The bungalow offers amenities such as a jacuzzi, built-in covered braai, ecowood deck and traditional South African fire pit.

These eco-friendly units are the perfect base from which to discover the natural riches of the ocean, shoreline and fynbos-blanketed hills and mountains. Experience the biodiversity of the sea on an ocean safari, visit the African Penguin & Seabird Sanctuary or follow one of the many hiking paths along the coastline.

At Whale Huys we are delighted to work with nature guide Grant Hine. Grant has a deep knowledge of nature and his Zen walks focus on the interconnectedness of nature and humans. You can learn more about Grant and contact him through his website zenguiding.com
