About the Accommodation

Tandweni Villa is a privately owned, luxury Villa within the Pongola Biosphere Reserve bordering Lake Jozini. The game viewing in the reserve offers sightings of 4 out of the big 5. The Villa boasts panoramic views of Jozini dam and Ubombo Mountain pass from every room. Comfortable accommodate for 10 adults are available in the unique 5 bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. The veranda and pool area have endless views over the dam and up the Jozini Gorge.

Tandweni is the ideal family getaway. The Villa is child friendly and there is a jungle gym for the children to enjoy within the fenced garden. Jabulani our ranger is amazing with kids and loves teaching them to fish and he makes sure game drives are child friendly and entertaining.

Activities and Birding 

There is also a Boma to enjoy outside fires under the stars and a hide overlooking a small dam as well as a private gym. The airfield allows small planes access to land on the property near the house. Some birds like the short grass around the airfield. In the mornings, our resident hornbills, bush shrikes, swallows & franklins can be observed in the garden and forest below the house. The Mkuze area is situated in Northern Zululand which is world renowned for its birding. Approximately 300 bird species have been recorded in the area.
