Sonwabile graduated the BirdLife South Africa training course in 2023. Sonwabile is excelling within both the conservation and tourism industries. He is guiding at the Southern Drakensberg of Eastern Cape and doing monitoring work with the Cape Parrot Project. The Endangered Wildlife Trust has also approached him to assist with monitoring of the Cape and Bearded Vultures throughout the Eastern Cape. Additionally, he established a community game reserve under the authority of his local traditional leadership. He joined the “Flock to Marion: AGAIN” voyage in January 2025.
