North-east Venda – Golwe Vhurivhuri Picnic and Campsite

About the Birding

Situated in a secluded valley in Venda, the Golwe Vhurivhrui picnic and campsite is surrounded by rich semi-deciduous scrub and forest. Well-marked trails lead through the forest for the campsite, following a small river to a waterfall. Search through the forest here for the African Broadbill, Grey Waxbill, Pink-throated Twinspot, Gorgeous Bushshrike, Narina Trogon, Blue-mantled Crested Flycatcher, Black Sparrowhawk, Bearded Scrub-robin and Scaly-throated Honeyguide.
