Bezuidenhoutshoek Farm

About the Accommodation

The Farm is situated in the Olifants River valley in Middelburg, Mpumalanga and is designated as irreplaceable and highly significant in terms of the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Authority’s bio diversity assessment criteria which qualifies it to be registered as a Protected area.

The Farm is situated in the transition area of the Lowveld and Highveld boasts more grass species than the Kruger National Park. The Rock art, cycad populations of the critically endangered Encephalartos Middelburgensis and vulnerable Lanatus, the extensive river frontages, permanent internal wetlands and streams, riverine forestation, gorges, savannah plains, rocky outcrops and cliffs make the farm a jewel amongst the mines and mealie fields of Middelburg and Witbank and more than justify the farm’s irreplaceable and highly significant status.

The Farm offers various accommodation and catering solutions depending on the size of the group and will tailor a solution around your requirements.

Kudu, Eland, Giraffe, Impala, Blesbuck, Bushbuck, Springbok, Wildebeest, Ostrich, Red Hartebeest, Klipspringer, Waterbuck, Oribi, Leopard, Hyena, Aardwolf, Bushpig, Honey Badger and Serval are some of the game which roam freely on over 3000 hectares. The African Finfoot, Southern Bald Ibis and Denhams Bustard are present in the over 277 confirmed bird sightings.
