Kosi Forest Lodge
About the Accommodation
The Kosi Forest Lodge is located within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, South Africa’s first World Heritage Site, and offers intimate, up-close interactions with the untamed African nature. The resort is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife and natural beauty that you must see for yourself. There is limited electricity, so candlelight creates a warm, romantic atmosphere evocative of wild African adventures. This is appropriate for this ancient land, which has a magical character that is difficult to describe. It’s a place where you may reconnect with nature while also reconnecting with yourself.
Enter a magnificent water world filled with lakes, Raphia forests, and the world’s only fruit-eating vulture. Every morning begins with a chorus of birds in your rustic yet comfortable woodland room on raised wooden platforms tucked away under the canopy of a giant natal fig or milkwood tree. Feel the silky white sand between your toes and the shade of the tranquil woodlands, listen to the fish eagle’s call, accept the warm greeting from our team, and know that the stress of your hectic life has been left behind. The Kosi Forest Lodge is also a birdwatcher’s paradise. Spend a quiet afternoon in our sand woodland bird hide, and we’re confident you’ll be able to cross off some of those lesser-known species from your list!
