About the Accommodation
Heritage View Birding Retreat is a tranquil self-catering home situated on a farm along the banks of the Barberspan Nature Reserve near Baberspan and Delareyville. Just 100 m from a private entrance to the reserve, this retreat offers a peaceful escape surrounded by natural beauty and abundant birdlife.
The retreat can accommodate 2 guests in a spacious en-suite bedroom furnished with a queen-size bed, with a child-only bed available upon request. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower. Fresh bath and swimming towels are also provided.
The open-plan living area features comfortable seating, a dining table, and a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, 1-plate induction stove, air fryer, microwave, and coffee- and tea-making facilities. Free Wi-Fi is available for guests’ convenience. Guests can relax outside on the patio and enjoy braai facilities while admiring the breathtaking views of Barberspan.
For nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers, the property offers a private bird hide, providing a unique opportunity to spot a wide variety of bird species in their natural habitat. Species include Kittlitz’s plover, Osprey and African Fish Eagles.
