About the Birding
Gondwana Game Reserve (-34.081, 21.911) – is situated north of the R327 that runs from the N2 towards Herbertsdale. Gondwana Game Reserve provides pristine fynbos habitat and birding in the reserve and immediate surrounding area can yield Cape Sugarbird, Orange-breasted Sunbird, Cape Clapper Lark, Victorin’s Warbler, Red-necked Spurfowl and in the summer Amur Falcons.
About the Birding Site
The Greater Mossel Bay is situated on the far western half of the Garden Route. The various habitats within the greater Mossel Bay area makes for a rich birding experience. The aforementioned habitats include Coastal waters, Estuaries & Freshwater bodies, Farmlands & Agulhas plains, Forest & Forest edge, and Fynbos.
