At Frog Mountain we offer a variety of unique and lovingly designed self-catering accommodation options, with many activities in nature for the whole family. Whether just a small family or a large group celebrating an occasion, we can accommodate up to 45 guests, in an idyllic and breath-taking setting. Only 18km from the historic town of Swellendam and approximately 3 hours from Cape Town.

We have the Buffeljags River running through the farm, a kloof with large a rock pool and waterfall for swimming a short walk away. Hiking into the beautiful fynbos, through our indigenous reforestation area. Abundant birdlife, canoeing, foefie-slide, a labyrinth, play area, a catch and release fishing dam, and most importantly, wood fired hot – tubs for soaking under the stars of the African sky. We have it all, for a perfect getaway in nature with your loved ones and/or family. Our farm is a children’s paradise, where kids can run barefoot and free, exploring Nature in safety. Whether paddling on the river or addictively foefie-sliding, they are kept busy, entertained, connected and exploring, free from devices all weekend!

We are actively rehabilitating our indigenous forest over the river, that was destroyed over the last 2 centuries due to farming, fire and invasive alien infestations. Now, a few years down the line there is an explosion of indigenous vegetation emerging. With this, we have an abundance of wild animals and birdlife. Over 90 bird species identified so far in this relatively small 40h lush area. We are proud to be a Nature Sanctuary at heart, where we strive to protect our incredible natural heritage for future generations. Here, families can bring their children to awaken to all of nature, and make lifelong memories so that they too will someday become guardians and custodians of the Earth.
