More about the bird club:

Like BirdLife South Africa to which we are affiliated our mission is to promote the enjoyment, conservation, study, and understanding of wild birds and their habitats.

The club was founded in 2014, and holds birding outings monthly during the spring-summer birding season but goes into recess from May to August.

As local membership of our club is low , and regional membership inappropriate, we see our contribution to birding our area as linking birders virtually = through our Avi-tourism JV with BirdLife South Africa by live signboards connected via a QR Code to a website promoting exploration of the Steenkampsberg Plateau as per the attached.

Steenkampsberg Plateau and areas of the Mpumalanga Escarpment surrounding Dullstroom and Lydenburg.
