Blouberg – Langjan Nature Reserve
About the Birding
Located just north-east of the Blouberg Nature Reserve, on the R521 to Alldays and west of Makhado, the Langjan Nature Reserve is typified by red sand dune and acacia scrub. The reserve supports well in excess of 260 species including many species that are more typical of the Kalahari. Among these are the Marico Flycatcher, Kalahari Scrub-robin, Red-crested Korhaan, Chestnut-vented Warbler, Magpie Shrike, Acacia Pied Barbet and Pale Chanting Goshawk.

Langjan Nature Reserve is located along the R524 between Vivo and Alldays. A nominal entrance fee is charged as follows:
R10 per adult
R5 per child
R20 per vehicle.
Opening hours are as follows: 07h30 to 16h00 daily.
