Enthle Protected Area is adjacent to Double Mouth Nature Reserve which lists 298 species. An absolute gem for birders, Enthle offers a variety of habitats including streams, forests, dams, estuaries, grasslands and wetlands, all on one property…not to mention kilometers of safe coastline to explore on foot.

Enthle House, just meters from the sea, sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. An outdoor boma and a fire-pit area in which to enjoy the evenings offer an alternative to being indoors (which also has a fireplace) and the verandah overlooking the sea is the perfect place to relax after a busy morning’s birding. A large, tranquil, indigenous garden attracts a variety of birds.

Reliable wifi connects visitors to the world and DSTV is available on request. Alternative lighting is provided for load shedding times.

‘Special’ sightings include the Nerina Trogon, Mangrove and Giant Kingfishers, and even the elusive Finfoot! On any given walk on the 300 hectare property guests may see a variety of game including zebra, bushbuck, blesbuck, impala, warthogs and nyala.
